Assemblage of Post-Consumer Materials

Pop and cultural icon as well as American sex symbol, this actress, singer, and model is recognized around the world. The nature of this assemblage work makes the image chaotic and imperfect when viewed closely, yet carefully put together when seen from a distance- not unlike the lives of many of us. I have chosen not to paint the found and donated items, but to let the color of the objects remain unaltered so they are more easily recognized by the viewer.
