This is the piece that began the Assemblage series. When entering an environmental landscape contest, the idea was formed to use post-consumer waste as the “paint” to make a powerful statement and drive home the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. By giving a face to the problem of litter and pollution, the point was made that it is people that are the problem as well as the solution.
