Assemblage of Post-Consumer Materials

We live in a disposable society. Most convenience items we buy and enjoy are used briefly and then discarded, often ending up in the landfill. The materials for my work are plentiful and come in a wide spectrum of colors.  Each Assemblage is a piece of our history- the history of what we are consuming and throwing away today. Fast Food toys tell us which movies are popular and the size and technology of cell phones is constantly changing. What we throw away says a lot about who we are, but what we choose to cherish and protect says even more in the end.
